A meeting of the eighth session of the Strategic dialogue took place between the Sultanate of Oman and India on 19th September 2011. The Omani delegation was headed by H.E. Ahmed Bin Yusuf Al- Harthy, Secretary to the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs and Indian side was headed by H.E. Sanjay Singh, Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for East.

The two sides discussed issues of the bilateral cooperation between two friendly countries, including bilateral agreements and methods to develop the cooperation in the fields of education, technology, tourism and mutual investment in economic projects between the two countries. The two sides agreed to activate and strengthen the relationship by setting up suitable mechanism to pursue the cooperation of interest and developments for both the nations. In the meeting the views have been exchanged regarding all international and regional issues of the mutual interest.
